Who is responsible for your data

Azul De Pol, trading as Adventures by Azul, is the data controller.

What I collect and why

• When you contact me through a form or by email: your name, email address and message, so I can reply. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

• When you request an itinerary through my Dream Travel form: your name, email, travel dates, budget, interests and anything else you choose to share, so I can plan your trip and send you a quote. Legal basis: taking steps towards a contract with you.

• When you sign up to my newsletter: your email address and first name, so I can send you travel guides and updates. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.

• When you leave a comment: your name, the comment and any details you enter, which are shown publicly next to your comment. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

• When you browse the site: technical data such as your IP address, browser, device, pages viewed and how you arrived. This comes from cookies and similar tools (see below). Legal basis: consent for non-essential cookies; legitimate interests for those the site needs to work.

Please don't send me sensitive information (such as health details) unless it matters for your trip, for example a mobility need. If you do, I use it only to plan your trip.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. My site uses:

• Essential cookies that make the site work, such as security and load balancing. These are always on.

• Analytics cookies that tell me which pages are popular, so I can write more of what helps you. These are only set if you agree.

• Affiliate and marketing cookies set when you click a partner link (see below), and by embedded content such as Pinterest buttons, YouTube videos or maps. These are only set if you agree.

You can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner or settings link at the bottom of the site, or in your browser settings.

Who I share data with

I never sell your data. I share it only with services that help me run the site, who process it on my behalf:

• Wix.com (website hosting, forms, comments, analytics and email marketing)

• Affiliate partners, only through their own cookies as described above

Where a service stores data outside the UK, it uses approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.
 

How long I keep it

• Enquiries and contact messages: up to 2 years after our last contact.

• Itinerary clients: up to 6 years after the trip, for tax and accounting records.

• Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.

• Analytics data: up to 26 months.
   

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:

• give you a copy of the personal data I hold about you

• correct anything that is wrong

• delete your data

• restrict or object to how I use it

• send your data to you or another service in a usable format

• stop using it where you gave consent
   

Children

This site is for adults. I don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
 

Changes to this policy

I'll update this page when things change, for example if I add advertising. The date at the top shows the latest version.
